Revelation 11
3And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
It’s All Symbolic
Let’s remember that you can not interpret this in a literal way. It will not match up and it will only lead you off the truth. This is all symbolization. The entire book is symbols as we learned in the opening verses of the first chapter that these things were sent and signified. The word signified means signs and symbols.

5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them

Editor’s Note
I want to take a minute with you and hopefully help explain a bit as to why what you’re about to read is going to sound like a totally different interpretation. First off, it’s not entirely clear to me on every point as to why, but I think it’s important to share what I “do” understand. He’s about to go more in-depth with the two witnesses and his explanation is a little different than from the first one. This is really not much different than what I had stated in tape 14 about the measuring of the outer courts, there are several ways you can see the symbolism in these pictures. Some will be clearer than others, all speak of either Christ or his Character.

In the next several pages, you’re going to come across some explanations that may or may not fit your understanding, that is perfectly fine. I don’t want to delete anything that’s on the tapes because there are revelational truths beneath the surface of practically every sentence. It stretches all of us. Just prayerfully keep at it, wade through the tougher stuff, enjoy the revelations that are alive to you, weigh out the rest in your own spirit, grow in Christ.

Not Moses and Enoch
There has been a lot of teachings and theories about who these two witnesses are. That these two witnesses are two Old Testament Characters that will return in the flesh and are reincarnated. Some say Elijah and Enoch. Reason being is because these two men didn’t die natural deaths as the rest of all flesh. God simply took them up. Yet Hebrews tells us it is appointed unto man once to die and at the day of Judgment they must come back to the earth and die and experience the resurrection that is described in Revelation. But I believe there are many flaws to that teaching.

3 ½ Years
It’s very clear, once we take the time to consider what these verses say to their characteristics as to what they do to explain who they are. Okay, so let’s look at it. It says they will receive power for 1260 days and they’ll be clothed in sackcloth. It reiterates in other verses that this 1260 days as 3 ½ years. Why the author goes through the trouble of stating days in one instance and years in another, I’m not sure. Sometimes we show just how prideful we are in claiming to know all the secrets of Scripture. But it’s wise to accept the fact that God reserves for his own reasons. But our responsibility is to accept what he does give us and not “major on minors.” And we certainly shouldn’t minor on majors.

Admit It if You Don’t Know
We all must be careful that we not focus on straining out the gnat while we gulp down the camel. Religious spirits will take the very smallest thing and yet ignore the most important. Is this passage of no value? No, that’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is, when God gives us revelational understanding, then that’s where we’re to camp. Not on the areas where God hasn’t yet shown us the connection to. In this case, it all comes up to the same sum. So let’s find out what it really says. It’s the two witnesses that we wrestle about.

This passage is something we struggle with and ponder and opinionate, but keep in mind, the readers that this book was originally sent to, made this book a hymn book. They knew what these symbolisms meant enough to sing about them. It may be foreign to us and our culture, but it wasn’t to them. The principle of two witnesses is a common Biblical symbol. When they read about these, they knew exactly what it meant because they understood the imagery of Scripture.

Editor’s Note
I have not entirely completed this tape, but I have listened to all of what he had to say on this issue and after hearing all of it, I was left just a bit unclear in how to put it all into context yet. I to, am leaning on God’s leading and not my own interpretation. But in this process, I do have an opinion of perhaps why John explained that in one place it was 1260 and another it was 42 months. When all the time, it all adds up to 3 ½ years. When looking at it symbolically and not literally, we can use the number to symbolize something that isn’t numerical at all. Once you understand the symbol as not being a number, then that may explain why he used different ways to say the same thing. It’s not the number itself that’s important, it’s what 3 ½ years symbolizes.

Abstract Witness – Mortal Becomes Immortal
In this case, it’s ministry. We’ll see this unfold later. But if you can understand that the witness of Christ, when it was finished, it came to an end and it appeared to die. Only to be resurrected and then it was called “up here”. I believe this is the same thing that Jesus said about the gospel. He said when it reached all around the world, the end would come. What happens at the end? We’re all going to experience that “come up here”. Not for a 7-year period. But when Jesus returns to this earth, we are going to then receive the heavenly bodies that Paul was so eager to experience because when Jesus returns, we’re leaving our physical state and we’ll be transformed into our spiritual.

Matt. 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

We will literally leave the flesh and live in the spirit. We’ll still have bodies, Paul makes that piece very clear. But as visible as the natural realm is right now and the spiritual invisible, at the second coming, there will be a reversal of this order and it’ll return back to the original order as it was in the garden, where the spiritual will be as visible as the natural is now, and the natural will be as invisible as the spiritual is now. The gospel, the message, the witness that has run it’s course will resurrect and be transformed into the heavenly realm at the same time.

But for me, the focus isn’t on the differences of the 42 months or the 1260 days. It’s on the fact that they are characteristics of ministry.

It’s ministry that is going to be attacked by the beast, the beast is us, It’s our flesh, the bottomless pit is our minds. There’s no end to our thinking, it’s constant. My carnal mind will instinctively attack the ministry of the kingdom message. The fact that the mark of the beast is 666 makes this so plain. 6 is the number for man, but also understand the ministry of testimony or gospel, will not be killed until after it’s finished with it’s plan. Okay, I’m done

1 Corinthians 15
50I need to emphasize, friends, that our natural, earthy lives don't in themselves lead us by their very nature into the kingdom of God. Their very "nature" is to die, so how could they "naturally" end up in the Life kingdom?

Digging Deeper Channels
There are times when we need to take extra time in our worship to allow God to dig deeper channels in our spirits because there are ships with his glory that are waiting at the mouth of our rivers. But because we are too shallow, those things can not make it up our rivers of understanding. We need to allow God’s spirit to come in and clean out the silt that has settled in our understanding so that the channel can become deep enough in our lives to carry the ships that come in with the mighty treasures of our Lord. Shallow waters can only allow in small canoes and little amounts of cargo.

So, these two witnesses, I don’t know whether you have noticed, if you haven’t it’s most certainly true of natural Israel who became an apostate nation. When we think of the word apostasy, we don’t like to associate it with the natural Israel because we have this feeling we may offend a certain group of people. This isn’t what we want to do, but natural Israel did turn there backs on the prophets of God, for thousands of years. Whenever the prophets came, from Elijah, all the way through to Malachi, they come as prosecuting attorneys if you will.

The Life of an Old Testament Prophet
When they came, there messages were things depicting a prosecuting offense against the will and desires of God. Israel was depicted through their messages from God, as a whore. This is a strong accusation, but this is how God viewed Israel’s rebellion toward him. He said “you play the whore upon every hill.” Now, that’s harsh language, but even so, just as it was indicative of Israel then, it’s also indicative of the church today. Maybe that offends you but some people will lay down and become intimate with things that they know nothing about.

A Whoring Mind
It’s hard to swallow, but no matter how religiously pious we think we are, there is within every one of us a mind, that has a harlot spirit that will go whoring after anything. If you think about the work of a harlot, what is she paid to do? She’s paid to gratify and to satisfy. Do you understand that this is the natural way your mind is? Anything that will gratify and satisfy. On the dark streets of our mind we secretly find corners where we can hide away from the surface relationships and we gratify our own lusts and desires.

God Isn’t Allowing Temptation, I’m Creating It
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: We think this just has to do with sexual temptation. Every man is tempted when he is drawn away in his own lust. And when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin and sin brings forth death. Let’s lay the account to where it is charged, God is not tempting us, our sinful desires are our temptation. My mind is at war with God. My spirit is made clean, it is a virgin, but my mind still wants to run down dirty streets. This isn’t talking about just pornography. This is talking about anything that is put on the altar of my heart that was once reserved for Jesus and him alone. My covenant.

Editor’s Note
Up to this point, he’s stepped off the subject to point out a couple things to us. Now he’s stepping back in. The issues just stated are not directly connected to the two witnesses. I just didn’t want to confuse you and have you think the witnesses were connected to whoring minds and such. They’re not. He’s simply finishing out a thought before returning to the context.
End of Note

Clothed in Sackcloth
These two witnesses, they have the power to prophecy. Notice they are clothed in sackcloth, this is why I don’t believe, along with many other reasons, that these witnesses are Enoch and Elijah. They’re not clothed in bodies that are immortal or incorruptible, but they’re clothed in sackcloth. You better believe that Elijah and Enoch, when they stepped into the 3rd dimension, when they crossed over into that dimension or realm that we call heaven, you better believe they had to undergo the transformation that is described in 1 Corinthians 15 where mortal puts on immortality and corruption puts on incorruption. These men are clothed in sackcloth, so who are they? Whenever we see sackcloth in Scripture, it speaks of mourning. These prophets did not just come to provoke Israel and rub their face in their idolatry, but they came to them to appeal them to repent.

Prophets and Prophecy
A spirit of prophecy is not just a spirit of provocation. There is a difference between having the operation of prophecy in your life and being a prophet of God. We have this tendency to think they’re aggressive and arrogant and come in to make everybody mad. The reality is they come in humility. You’re understanding that even though the words may be heavy, weighty and difficult to be received by the recipients. That you still have to bring the word of the Lord no matter how weighty it is.

“Soothing” Prophets
There are not many men today that preach the prophetic Word of God. They’re like the prophets of Ahab. He ordered “Bring me prophets that speak soothing words to me.” If you know anything about the character of Ahab, you know that he personified weakness. He was a king, but not as a result of his own character, he was simply in the right place at the right time. He was led by Jezebel his wife. He didn’t want anyone to tell him what he needed to hear, he only wanted them to tell him what he wanted to hear.

These verses that we’re reading are coming in the midst of the sound of the seven trumpets. But there’s one thing that trumpets speak of. They speak of an alarm. “Blow the trumpet of Zion on my holy mountain, sound the alarm. The word of God that is truly prophetically spoken should sound an alarm in you. It should wake you up and call you out of your dead sleep. You need somebody to blast something so powerful in your ear to shake you out of your slumber. This is the first thing John heard in the beginning of this book. He stated he heard from behind him the sound of the voice of a trumpet. Trumpets ought to make you turn, make you repent.

Sackcloth = Humility and Sacrifice
So, he notices they’re clothed in sackcloth, it has to do with humility and sacrifice. It’s been said God does you no favors when he calls you into this ministry. Prophets are not favored with the crowds. Some prophets are in it for their own profit. Balaam spirits that use their giftings in a perverted manner in order to emotionally rape people and their finances. Just because they have the power of the media and power in the world does not prove they are of God. False prophets are not just someone that makes stuff up or never been prophets at all. But they are true prophets who use their gifting for their own greedy gain.

Origin in Zechariah
The land is filled with men today, because of our shallow discernment that we think are true men of God are in actuality out for their own gain. But these here we see are dressed in sackcloth. We also see the two witnesses which he goes on to explain are the two anointed ones that stand before God’s throne. Zachariah has these same images. You can find the same thing where it originated. Zachariah and Haggai are two books that were written at approximitatly the same time. They were written after the children of Israel had been released from captivity after 70 of exile and they’ve come back for the express reason to rebuild the temple. For 14 years it remains laying in waste.

The book of Zachariah speaks of two primary men. Joshua and Zerubbabel. One being a priest and the other being a king. Perhaps that is what he’s referring to when he speaks of the two Olive trees, you can find these same images in Zachariah 4. Joshua and Zerubbabel are these two olive trees and candlesticks. The law of first mention will easily show you this. Where God originated it, is where the meaning remains. We just need to simply find where these images first originated.

Remember, Don’t let this confuse you!
Keep in mind, this is not saying that all this is absolute, it’s simply provoking your heart to allow the Holy Spirit to show “you” the revelation of Jesus Christ. The two witnesses are symbolic of something else other than two men or individuals. On one dimension they depict Christ, in another they depict you, as kings and priests, which is what Joshua and Zerubbabel are symbolizing.

Olive Trees and Lamp Stand
Why does he see these two witnesses in this manner. One a priest, the other a king, possibly the symbolism of the two olive trees. This lamp stand that was burning, glowing with oil was being fed directly from the two trees. The tabernacle of Moses had the lamp stand, but it was the priest’s job to harvest the olives from a tree in the wilderness and then crush them with a millstone to extract the oil and then taking the oil and filling the bowls on the lamp stand. It was a continuous ministry.

But here we don’t see that. There is a continual flow of oil that is keeping the flame alive. There were golden pipes . .how many? Two. They ran directly from the tree to the lamp. Then in Zachariah we see the famous passage where it says it’s not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit says the Holy Ghost. It’s all in reference to the completion to the temple that the priesthood had struggled in order to complete the temple in the days of Zachariah and they couldn’t get it done.

Religious Indifference = Luke Warm
And there was an indifference in the people. Everyone had been released and they finished their own house. Haggai 1 says they all lived in their own enclosed houses but the house of God lay in waste. There was a real struggle with the ancient prophets in order to get the people interested in the things of God. As there is today. It’s difficult to get people who live in their own sealed houses and they’ve just come out of Babylon and they’ve received a small measure of religious freedom and all they have preached to them every Sunday morning is what God wants to do for them in prospering them. And how God wants them to have a new car and a new house and a bigger paycheck and yet the temple of God lays in waste.

Spiritual Temple in Ruin
I’m not against you being blessed. Scripture teaches that he wants us to be blessed. But there’s a higher goal and it’s not about us it’s about the temple of God being completed and it’s not about a building, it’s about you being the temple of the Holy Ghost. There are many of us that have beautiful houses with elegant furniture that has been tastefully placed throughout our home, but when it comes to the temple of God there’s nothing but a pile of rubble. There’s disarray, there’s confusion, if you’d spend half as much time building God’s house within you as you do on your physical homes then the peace of God that avoids you would be yours.

Solomon’s Splendor Doesn’t Compare
Jesus stated that a man greater than Solomon was here, speaking of himself. And Solomon had the most extravagant lifestyle known to any king or man. But Jesus isn’t about your carnal life. He’s not about dressing up your carnal mind. It’s your heart he wants. Then he starts talking about lilies and stated that the flowers had greater glory than what Solomon had. People came from everywhere just to look at what he had accomplished and the wisdom that he carried.

But Jesus stated that not only was a greater man that Solomon in their presence, but that the lily carried more glory than Solomon and the reason for that is because the lily doesn’t work, it doesn’t toil or spin. It simply “is” because that’s what God spoke into existence. It doesn’t need to struggle to produce.

Olive Oil - Anointing
Two Olive trees, a prophetic voice, there is going to be witness in the earth . . what Is olive oil? It’s the basic ingredient in the anointing oil. There’s going to be a witness in the earth. All the way through the Bible, the number 2 is the number of witness. There always has to be two to confirm anything. There was then and there is now. There’s going to be a witness in the earth that is going to have such a flow of anointing, that flows right into it. Their going to bring the word of God to the earth in the most purest fashion that we’ve ever seen.

Raw Truth Brings Liberty to Now
It’s not going to be by power or by might but by his spirit. You’re going to recognize the difference. There are going to be people that are going to find us in the months to come because they want the pure word of the Lord. Their tired of eating the same thing day after day, year after year, they want something real and true. They want the freedom that comes with Jesus to replace the bondage that was put on them in religion. Just as the days of the Old Jewish system came to an end, so to must the days of the religious church now. There’s not enough support on the modern church’s support system to withstand the heaviness of the glory that rides with the pureness of the truth.

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Live By the Sword – Die By the Word
I don’t know if whether that strikes any recollection in your mind, but both Moses and Elijah had the authority to call down fire from heaven to remove the false prophets. There is a prophetic pulpit or platform whenever the word of God is spoken. It comes in worship as well as the preaching of the word. I’m not looking for a literal fire.

Jeremiah 5:14
14Therefore, this is what GOD said to me, GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies: "Because they have talked this way, they are going to eat those words. Watch now! I'm putting my words as fire in your mouth. And the people are a pile of kindling ready to go up in flames

Pursue the Fire
To be honest, we should ‘want’ God to consume us in his purifying fire rather than run away from his. It’s the fire of Shadrach. The fiery furnace they were thrown into was a result of breaking the law. The guards threw them into the same fire that that formed them in the first place. If you’re already purified, you can’t be consumed. But like the guards, if you’re following man’s order and law, you will die from the intense presence of the fire of God. I find it also profound that the very fire that was intended to kill them, was the same fire that set them free from their bondage. Going in they were tied in ropes, coming out, the ropes were burned off but their skin wasn’t even singed.

Dimensional Baptisms
Isn’t it interesting the very thing that man and the religious church is afraid of is having a fire. When it’s the fire that we are led to be baptized in. There are many that understand the symbolism of the baptism of water, but that’s just a show of first dimension. Then there are others that have found there’s more than just salvation available to us, there’s the spirit baptism.

But I’m here to declare that we’re still not there yet. There’s yet another whole entire dimension that God is calling us to in the baptism of not only spirit, but Fire. It’s the pattern of the tabernacle. In the outer court is where you’re baptized in water, the laver. In the Holy place you’re baptized in Spirit, the ministry of priests. But in the holy of holies, you’re baptized with fire.

Jumping From Symbolic Elijah to Physical Elijah
Fire proceeds out of their mouths and destroys their enemies and if any man hurts them, in the same manner they will be killed. They have the power to stop the rain, Elijah did this for 3 ½ years. So he’s talking about a Moses and Elijah ministry which is what others teach, but the line to draw the boundary between this and that is that this does not necessarily mean that we are going to see Moses and Elijah physically reincarnate. See how quickly we want to cross over from the spiritual back to the physical? It’s not easy sometimes to remain in the spirit.

The argument here is the fact that we see these two individuals paired up together at the mount of transfiguration. But the symbolism there is not that they were conferring with the second coming, but that they were symbolizing the three elements of the ark. The ten commandments and law being represented by Moses. The rod of Aaron that was budding representing the prophetic authority as Aaron was Moses Prophet and it was his rod in the ark, Elijah was the chief of prophets. He raised up schools of prophets in his ministry. Then of course, there’s the messiah, the bread of life, the manna. Moses could speak of his death because angels buried his body in the mountain of God. Elijah could certainly speak of his resurrection because he was given the anointing to raise a child back to life that was dead.

Two Witnesses “With” Jesus
So, we see these two witnesses speak to Jesus before his crucifixion, but what were they witnesses of? We’ve already touched on here and there the original law of the Old Testament when dealing with judgment of another there was a requirement of two witnesses to agree on the incident. You find this even carrying over on the trial of Jesus. Before he could be convicted, there needed to be two witnesses to come forward and accuse him in order to proved, even though it was falsely, but they had to do this according to their law (Evidence of whoring again) that what he’d been accused of was true.

Out of Two Witnesses, Everything is Established
All through Scripture you see the witness of two. Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca. This isn’t just the pairing of couples in Scripture but it has everything to do with us understanding how God confirms his witness in that manner. John 8:13 the Pharisees accused Jesus of being a false witness because they claimed he had no one to be a second witness to support his claim of being the Messiah. They argued that his message was not very verifiable because he’s testifying of himself and their law says in Deut. 19 let out of the mouth of two or three witnesses let everything be established. Of course we know that Jesus responded by stating that his Father testified of him.

John 8:16-18

14 Jesus replied, "You're right that you only have my word. But you can depend on it being true. I know where I've come from and where I go next. You don't know where I'm from or where I'm headed 15 You decide according to what you can see and touch. I don't make judgments like that. 16But even if I did, my judgment would be true because I wouldn't make it out of the narrowness of my experience but in the largeness of the One who sent me, the Father. 17That fulfills the conditions set down in God's Law: that you can count on the testimony of two witnesses. 18And that is what you have: You have my word and you have the word of the Father who sent me."

Unity Brings Reproductive Life
That messed them up to no end because they could not see past his flesh and that his father was in his flesh. When they looked at him, they were seeing one, but they couldn’t grasp the spiritual truth that it was two that made him one. Actually, three. Just as my wife and I who were two and became one and as a result, we reproduced our offspring through that unity. See, God in his unlimited power could have populated the earth any way he wanted to. He didn’t just speak the words and the entire earth was populated. He started with two and let them come together as one to produce offspring. That is a Biblical pattern. This is what spiritual Fathering originates.

Creating Eve “From Within” Adam

The reason why he first made Adam and opened his side and then created Eve only to have them come together and procreate is because that is God’s nature. He’s a God of Oneness. “Here O Israel the Lord our God is “One”. Where was Eve when He created Adam? He didn’t scoop her off the ground like he did with the other animals, but she was hidden in Adam. He created them in oneness.

Then Adam gets a revelation as he’s naming the animals, they’re coming up two by two and he notices he doesn’t have a counter part. Have you ever wondered why God waits before Adam gets the Revelation? We see even earlier in Genesis that God had already decided in his mind to create a man and woman, but he didn’t create the woman until the man had the desire for her. Perhaps that’s why we don’t see the reproduction happening in our churches is because we aren’t all that excited over the idea of being the parents of spiritual children ourselves.

So he puts Adam in a deep sleep, the second Adam now, he puts him in a deep sleep just as he did with the first Adam. On the cross, his side also was opened up and out of his side, as he did with the first Adam, he takes his bride. Was she there all along? Absolutely. And when he forms her out of the side of the second Adam, they come back together and the two who had been one in Christ come back together and they make one as Christ and they fill the earth with the image of God.

The Witness of two.
It’s not just about being married although that’s part of it. It’s about you understanding the power of witness and the power of agreement. Matt. 18 we misquote it all the time. If there’s any two or three, it’s almost as if God hasn’t fully made up his mind. “Two or three . .I don’t know, depends on what’s available at the time.” No!

18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

When he says “where there’s two or three” it’s not to mean “or” it’s to mean “are” Where there’s two, there “are” three. The “gather together” is stating that when two individuals unite in spirit in the name of Jesus, their oneness multiplies. When two become one, there are three, because he, as the third is standing in the midst of the two. This is the purpose of the worship time is to get everyone into one river. Psalm 46 states “How beautiful is that city where as “the streams”

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

A River of One

That’s what we want to do when we come to praise and worship and get everyone out of their individualism and one stream and into one accord. To the point to where you become one witness and you’re facing another witness in the Spirit and when you say “yes, amen” it’s not just a Charasmatic response, but you’re witnessing that something inside of you is witnessing there’s something happening inside of me.

Defining Preaching
Preaching is not just about me getting up in front of you and being a good performer. It’s not about me knowing some stuff that causes you to go “wow!” Preaching is about you coming into one mind and one accord. You’re a witness and I’m a witness. The voice of the Lord that is in me quickens the voice of the Lord that is in you. Suddenly his prophetic power is manifest. It’s time the churches out there stopped sitting in the pews like wooden Indians! No matter how much I know or how anointed I am, my words are just going to fall flat with no prophetic power in the air because there’s no witness to verify the quickening!

Feast of Tabernacles – Hold the Rain
So they have the power to shut up heavens and not bring forth any rain. We think that just has to do with natural things. Stopping it from raining. But that’s not the only application to that at all. Zachariah 14, read it sometime. The Lord said if Israel didn’t come up to the feast of tabernacles that he would withhold the rain. But again, because we live in a contemporary world and society and we don’t understand how important it is to have rain. For us, if it doesn’t rain, it doesn’t affect us that much because we don’t depend on crops and livestock.

Zec 14:18

And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that [have] no [rain]; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Message Translation
18If the Egyptians don't make the pilgrimage and worship, there will be no rain for them. Every nation that does not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths will be hit with the plague. 19Egypt and any other nation that does not make pilgrimage to celebrate the Feast of Booths gets punished.

Concept of a Covenant
If it didn’t rain, there was no prosperity. These men had power to shut off the rains in the heaven, they had power to turn water into blood, this sounds like Moses again right? But it’s not a reincarnation of Moses, it’s about God manifesting his spirit in a people. We have no concept of covenant in this part of the world. If you were to draw a line in the middle of the sanctuary and all the people on the one side were representatives of the sane family and on the other side would be the representatives of the rash family.

If there’s going to be a covenant made between these two groups. These two men who represent the two families will step out from where they are and what ever happens to these two men, happens to all the people on both side of the line. Not only to the people, but to the generations them that have not been released yet through their loins. The reason why this is so important is because now I understand why Jesus hung on the cross and when he did he hung between two. One cursed him and the other accepted him. See the pattern?

Two Witnessing Resurrection
Whenever there’s going to be a resurrection, do you think God had anything to do with the fact that not one woman reached the tomb, but there were two women. Do you think that God had anything to do with it not being one of the disciples that showed up, but two. Peter and John. Two, and when they look in what do they see? Not one angel but two. An angel at the head and another at the foot, which is a reflection of what you see beyond the veil in the most holy place in the ark of the covenant witnessing the presence.

Elizabeth and Mary
This is why I would rather one person who has witness . . when you say “ I bear witness with that” Romans 8 states that “his spirit bears witness with our spirit” that we are the sons of God. When Elizabeth has a visit from Mary. Elizabeth is in her 6 months pregnant, Mary is in her first trimester. When Mary walks in the room, her baby leapt in her womb at the sound of her salutation. That’s when you know when you’re hearing the prophetic word of God and something comes out of my mouth and the baby leaps in your womb. Two, Mary and Elizabeth. Making sense?

John the Baptist, like Elijah was only a forerunner. In fact Scripture says he had the spirit of Elijah. It doesn’t say that he was Elijah, but that he had the spirit of Elijah. There’s the second witness, within him. When Jesus asked who do they say that I am? There were many opinions, but then Jesus asked who do “you” say that I am. What is “your” witness to me as the Son of God? Like John, Moses was succeeded by a Joshua, Jesus was the Joshua of the New Testament.

Spiritual Beasts
It appears that these guys have been totally defeated but it has been and always will be a fact that there is a warring spirit that is like a beast that wars against a prophetic voice. If a man is truly a prophetic voice then you can be sure there are beasts. Paul said that he wrestled with beasts to Ephesus, he’s not talking about physical animals but spirits that warred against him when he was ministering.

We may find that hard to believe, but there will be times when you find yourself in front of someone who’s face just contorted from a response of a conversation and there are arguments and warrings against the prophetic trumpets that are blasting and preparing to blast the freedom of truth. The church is about to wake up in the garden of darkness as what appears to be a horrible reality with the removal of the messiah is actually a trumpet blast of freedom that the Savior will not be taken by any force. But he will go willingly for our benefit that we may no longer have to live in bondage within our own barred and boarded up minds.

3 ½ = Ministry
What we are seeing here, because the ministry lasts for three and a half years, which was the length of Elijah’s ministry, as was the length of John the Baptist ministry, as was the length of Jesus Ministry. 3 ½ is the number of the length of ministry. So when Elijah and Moses show up, on the mount of transfiguration with Jesus, they just witness to that he is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets. All the prophets that had been sent to Israel were stoned and killed.

Religious Stonings
There is within every one of us the tendency to want to stone the voice of God. We don’t want to hear it. When we hear the prophetic voice and fire starts burning up stuff that we’ve been building all our life that we put security in and it causes the water in us to dry up. The first thing we do is blame the person at the pulpit who we have to look at on Sunday morning who’s provoked us in the sermon or preaching. People want to stone you to death. Maybe not with literal stones, but when they get out of ear shot of you, they will throw stones all over you and your message. They don’t want to hear the voice of God.

The Beast
The beast we see here can be traced all the way back to Genesis. All the way back to where they ate of the tree of good and evil. The beast is nothing like what we’ve been taught either. The image of the beast has nothing to do with the antichrist in a person or anything like that. We’ll get to it later, but it has to do with what happened in the garden of Eden when man ate of the fruit. The same curse that was on the serpent was on the beast. Nebuchadnezzar was a personification when he exalted his works with pride. God had allowed him to be blessed and he kept the credit for himself and he grew feathers like and eagle and bird claws.

This literally happened to him. It was a total manifestation of the beast that was in him. Ecclesiastes says that man at best is a beast and it makes war with the voice of God. Herod made war with John the Baptist and even killed him. Christ was crucified by this collaboration that went on between the Jews and the Jewish authorities. These men who were supposed to be righteous men, godly men became as animals.

Ecclesiastes 3
18 I also thought, "As for men, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. 19 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath ; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless

[b]The dead bodies

In verse 8 we see the dead bodies of the two witnesses laying in the street, this is pretty strong language. Matthew 23 speaks about this whole scenario and he calls Jerusalem Sodom and Egypt. This is all where Jesus died. But there are bottomless pits in our minds out of which whenever the right voice begins to speak in our life, I’ve seen this first hand. And the fire of God begins to pour out of me and begins to consume them like wood and the call for repentance and these people, these same people that have written me letters on how great I am will instantly turn into a fighting animal.

We need to understand what a curse it was not to bury these dead bodies, but to be left in the street because they believed a curse would come up on the land. That’s why Jesus had to be buried before the sun went down. They believe if his body wasn’t put in the tomb after he died, but it would bring a curse upon the land. Even the Jews believed that. These bodies that were left laying in the street speaks of Able when his blood cried out from the ground. Abel was a prophet.

Matt. 23:35

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

His blood from him all the way to Zechariah, read about this in Matthew. The blood of these men cried out. The thing about it people think they can silence God for a period of time but the blood will cry out from the ground. We still forget that there is a dimension of spiritual life and activity happening amongst us every second of every day. This event that John is seeing is just as symbolic as the candle stick. This is a scene that no naked eye is going to notice. It’s happened in the spiritual realm.

Even the Enemies Unite With Each Other
Isn’t it interesting that Pilate and Herod who were originally the worst of enemies, became the best of friends through the process of having Jesus crucified on the cross. There’s some strange bedfellows that develop when people begin hearing the voice of God. They begin defending each other’s unrighteousness even though they hated each other at one time, but the fire brings even the evil together in defense.

God’s going to vindicate these two. It looked like they were defeated as they lay dead in the street overcome by the beast of men. But this is a familiar scene as well. When Jesus gave up his last breath, it excited the demonic realm because they thought they’d finally won! They thought they finally overcome their worst enemy in the Son of God. Had they known they were taking part in the prophetic fulfillment of the original plan, they never would have lifted a finger against Jesus.
.But that’s the whole point. Greed and evil are very narrow minded.

They have tunnel vision and are so focused on destruction and chaos that they don’t realize that the God of the universe literally used them to carry out the plan of redemption. What they thought they were destroying, they were actually transferring the authority back over to it’s rightful owner. Up to this point, they had the authority of death. But death is a spirit of greed and it doesn’t realize that when it claimed it’s ultimate prize in Jesus, that it was actually a part of the plan in making a way for us to overcome it as well.

What’s in a Blessing?
They didn’t understand in order to experience resurrection, you have to go through death and burial. There’s a lot of you that want victory and you hear sermons on how you want to be blessed by well-meaning Pastors that preach 7-point sermons that put you on the road to blessing. But the truth is, if you’re looking to be blessed, you’d best be preparing a plot of land for your burial because the word blessed means eulogy. God wants to preach over your funeral.

That doesn’t mean that God enjoys seeing you die. It’s not a funeral song. But God knows that when you finally get to the place where you die to yourself, only then can he be resurrected in you. And there in-lies the blessing. The blessing is a prophetic word into your resurrected heart that has been detached from your flesh. Oh that I may know him in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering. You’re not going to get into the holy of holies until you first experience Calvary.

Let’s Be More Specific
Now look at this symbolically. Understanding now that the two prophets symbolize a witness, “the” witness of Christ and the 3 ½ years symbolizes ministry. THE WITNESSES ARE THE CHRUCH! The beast is man’s inner flesh that overcomes the ministry of the witnesses of God. The ministry of the gospel appears to be dead because it was killed by the beast of the religious. Not the pagans, it wasn’t the pagans that murdered Jesus, it’s not the pagans that come against his ministry and witnesses. It’s the religious church that has taken the prophetic trumpets and silenced their ministry. Just as the demonic realm rejoiced at the defeat of Jesus, or so they thought, we see the same thing happening here to the testimony. But there’s another thing here to notice.

Not Until it’s Finished
There’s something I missed. Verse 7 says something really interesting. The witnesses didn’t die until “after” they were through giving their testimony. This is really important. We want to focus on the shock of the power of the two witnesses being overcome by this beast that we overlook the fact the only reason this happens is because it was allowed due to the understanding that their work was completed. It wasn’t until after the testimony of the witness was complete that the beast overcame them. The seed was already released and planted. Jesus didn’t give himself to die until the time came for him to allow himself to be arrested.

The 3 ½ year changed to 3 ½ days. It’s like the remnant, or tithe. It continues on. Even though the witness lay in disgrace (nonburial) the message continues! The blood of Able continued to cry from the ground even after Cain murdered him. When it comes into completion, which is 7. How did it come to completion? The witness was ministering for the first 3 ½ and then it lay for another 3 ½.

To my carnal understanding, there’s a difference between a year and a day. But again, the focus isn’t on days and years, as much as it’s on the message behind the symbolism of the number 3 ½ . When the completion comes, there is a resurrection of the dead. There is a fear on the ungodly. There is a transformation into the spiritual realm when we let go of our earthly bodies and take on our heavenly ones. This is the coming of the day of the Lord! This is the revelation of Jesus!

The two witnesses are you.
You’re the one carrying the Gospel to the ends of your world. To the ends of your communities, neighborhoods, workplaces. The spirit of man is going to rise up against you and there will be attacks and accusations, rebellion, rejection, defiance, you name it, the demonic will send it.

But there will be no death until the ministry of the message is complete, and even then, the message itself will still resonate after you’ve left. But understand that before you can be transformed, you have to die. You will have the spirit of Elijah on you, you will have the anointing of Moses in you. You can throw your authority down and the power of God will rise up and be a blessing to those that listen and a curse to those that won’t. You have all of that at your disposal.

Both Life And Death Simultaneously
Remember this is why this book was a hymnal to the first century church. It wasn’t doom and gloom, it was equipping them and giving them life by explaining them the need for their death. Nothing happens without completion. God’s plan is never cut off or interrupted. The message of Christ is something that is life giving and a death sentence at the same time. It opens the bottomless pits of our minds, it causes our flesh to come against the truth with carnal authority and we do indeed have the power to kill the ministry. But the message lingers on like the aroma of a roasted turkey even after it’s left the kitchen.

Symbolism of 3 ½ Years to 3 ½ Days
One thing that really smells up the house is tuna. Our daughter loves the stuff. She’ll go open a can and sit down and eat the whole thing and throw it away and I’ll walk in and still smell the aroma lingering in the air. The message of the ministry continues on even after the ministry ends. Bacon does the same thing.

When we cook bacon, it takes forever to get that aroma out of the house. That’s why you see the change of the number from 3 ½ years to 3 ½ days. Jesus ministry in the flesh ends, but the message, the aroma of that ministry continues to the completion of the pattern. When the completion comes, transformation from carnal to spiritual takes place.

My Defense is No Defense, But Camouflage in Christ
We have to “let” ourselves become dead to the world. We have to stop allowing things to affect us. When things go wrong, when we feel we’ve been misrepresented, we aren’t to defend ourselves. We’re to be lost in Christ. If you’re lost in Christ, he’ll call you up, he’ll call you into a place where they can’t go and they can’t touch you. Because they’ve already killed that part of you and now, the aroma of your message can still be felt on them even after you’re dead and when they see God has truly raised you up, it will put fear into them, respect.

Fear Doesn’t Mean Afraid
When it states that there was fear in them, the same word used there for fear is the same word used in other places of Scripture that is connected to respect and honor rather than extreme lack of confidence in one’s self. When people see the power of resurrection in you and God calls you into the realm where he LIVES, the spiritual realm that our human eyes can’t see but our hearts know it’s there. When people see you not only died, but resurrected into an image of God himself, you’re ministry to witness is over and you’re experience in the life of God’s dimension has begun. As God calls them to “come up here” they’re being transformed from the physical world, to the spiritual. The only time this happens is when Jesus appears on the earth. That’s what this is implying.

Why the Death of Our Flesh is So Important
God has been calling us ever since we’ve acknowledged his son and the Messiah to die to our flesh, the beast from the bottomless pits of our minds and allow him to resurrect us, not so we can waltz around and show everyone how holy we are, but so that he can then lead us into the realm where he resides. So, when this is the result of your yielding to die to your flesh, the next thing that happens is the enemy and those he influences has no other option but to fear you.

Act 2:43
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. Act 5:5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down , and gave up the ghost : and great fear came on all them that heard these things. Act 5:11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Act 9:31
Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified ; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied . Act 19:17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified . Rom 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes

Zechariah’s Picture of the Completed Ministry
When we see the two olive trees in Zechariah, they’re showing the end of the purpose of ministry. That’s what the two witnesses being killed represent. 3 ½ represents ministry, two witnesses represent the message or gospel. This whole scene is of the ministry of spreading the gospel. There’s no longer a need for ministry in this realm or dimension.

That’s why we see the two sets of 3 ½ . together they are completion. Because Christ has returned in the flesh. He’s never left in the Spirit. Didn’t he tell his disciples that he’d be with them to the ends of the ages? And the flow of the anointing or the oil is eternal and no work is required. After the 3 ½ days, they are resurrected and transformed because the gospel is complete. This is the revelation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

End of Edit

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven

Hear From Heaven
The voice they hear is not your typical voice, but a voice from heaven. You know a voice when you hear a prophetic voice coming across the pulpit you can tell the difference whether that voice you’re hearing is from the voice of heaven or it’s been in some periodical all week long. Hebrews says “refuse him not who speaks from heaven.” I want us all to hear from heaven, not from my clay lips. Have you heard sermons on the ails of society from the pulpit? If that’s what you’re hearing, be careful because you are what you eat.

Hebrews 12
24You've come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel's--a homicide that cried out for vengeance--became a proclamation of grace. 25So don't turn a deaf ear to these gracious words. If those who ignored earthly warnings didn't get away with it, what will happen to us if we turn our backs on heavenly warnings? 26His voice that time shook the earth to its foundations; this time--he's told us this quite plainly--he'll also rock the heavens: "One last shaking, from top to bottom, stem to stern." 27The phrase "one last shaking" means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered.28Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. 29He's actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won't quit until it's all cleansed. God himself is Fire!

Christ Alone and Him Crucified
If all you want is to catch up on current events and see how that will change the doctrine of the sermon of the day, then you’re on the wrong road. We don’t have to preach about the ails of society, we need to hear from heaven. We don’t need speeches about the political movement, we need to hear from the word of life so that we can allow God to change ourselves. I’m tired of turning on the radio and hearing sermons blasting every body and every sect, they’re not preaching Christ. They’re padding their pockets.

Be Sure They’re Not Actually Right About You
We get offended when we talk about intolerance. You know what the first thing is that we ought to do when anyone criticizes us even the lowest of the low. When they criticize us, the first thing that really should come to our mind is not a quick zinger to put them in their place, but what our first response to the criticism of the ungodly should be, is there anything of what they’re saying to me that may have some truth to it? Instead of a defensive spirit. It is a religious mind that immediately starts saying . . .

Time to Get Real About Finger Pointing
There’s so much idealism and intolerance in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and I’m not talking about condoning and I’m not talking about soft on sin. Even as I say this right now, some of your brains are just clicking. You’re telling yourselves that I’m becoming a liberal. The truth is, this has nothing to do with being soft on sin. It has everything in the world with us understanding that the Holy Spirit is the agent that is in the earth to convict us of our sin. Not our religious intolerance of those that we claim can’t live up to our standards.

No Buts, If It’s Not Jesus, Leave it
Do I have the same feelings sometimes? You bet I do. But I choose not to use the pulpit as a whipping post for every social issue that I can’t handle. It’s Jesus Christ. Jesus said if “I” be lifted up. “I” will draw ‘most’ men? No “I’ll draw ALL men unto me.” If we would preach Jesus and him crucified Paul said “I’m determined to know him and him alone, crucified. If we would preach the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the love of Jesus Christ, he will take care of the current affairs, as long as our focus and emphasis is on Jesus, HE’S ALL THAT MATTERS.

Be Blind to the Sin if You Really Wish to Reach the Sinner
We should be able to see from our fruit that we’re not getting anywhere with these attitudes that we have. We just make them more mad and then we call it spiritual warfare, give me a break. It’s not warfare, you’re wrestling with flesh and blood. Religious leaders hated Jesus, but the sinners, like the woman that was caught in the act of adultery were free. Men that were vexed with unclean spirits, you know what that term means? It means they were homosexuals, and even they came and laid down at the feet of Jesus. By the arm of flesh we are trying to do the work of God.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven

Earthquake, Some More
Again the earthquake speaks of foundational changes happening to the church or the religious church. There was an earthquake when Jesus said it was finished. It was so great that it shook the entire city and the veil in front of the ark could not withstand the change and it was ripped from top to bottom. A tenth part of the city fell, the tithe of God’s chosen city. In the earthquake 7000 men were killed. Again, when you’re dealing with symbolism, you can’t always assume that a number given is the meaning of the message.

The 7,000
There were 7000 men that are righteous remnant in the book of Kings. They are a minority in the Old Testament, they are a majority here in the New Testament. Remember Elijah? I cried out that he thought he was the only one. But God reminded him that he had 7000 that hadn’t bent their knee to God. But these are religious spirits. You know what the two archenemies against the people of God that we mentioned earlier? The political system, Rome, and the religious leaders, the Jewish nation. They were the archenemies against the true people, the remnant of God. It’s cycled through, it’s going on again today.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The Truth of the Earthquakes
This earthquake, we tend to interpret everything in the natural. We need to understand that whenever things manifest in the natural they are merely a reflection of what is happening in the spiritual realm. We have to learn to discern not effects, but causes. When Jesus said in the last days there will be many earthquakes in diverse places, he was not just speaking about things that could be measured in the natural realm. What is the cause of the earth quaking, not the effect of the quaking, but the cause. And the second thing to ask yourself is what happens when there’s an earthquake.

Search Beyond the Outer Court, Reach the Cause, Not the Effect
True, buildings are destroyed and foundations are removed, but what is going on under the surface? We’re always wanting to measure the surface, the physical, the “outer court”. We always measure things by what we see. Yet we just read at the beginning of this chapter that measuring the outer court puts you outside of God’s will. We’re not spiritually discerned enough to go beyond the surface to see what God’s intent really means. So, when looking at this earthquake, don’t pay any attention to what’s happening on the surface, that’s merely the side affects of something much deeper.

So when an earthquake occurs, it’s a result of a massive shifting of plates that are deep in the core of the earth. Something beyond the reach of man, something so deep, sometimes miles deep in the crust of the earth that begin to shift. When they begin to shift as a result of pressure, remember they are not just out the natural phenomenon, but they reflect something that God wants to do on the surface where men build their lives. Where men lay their foundations for their security.

But what causes them? Because when they begin to shift, it doesn’t matter how stable the structures have been built or how much steel or tons and tons of concrete you poured into it. It doesn’t matter how deep you think it’s been dug, in a matter of seconds, that which took years to build is wiped out and collapses around your ears. But what causes that? A Great Voice From Heaven.

Taking the Tithe
A tenth, this is merely the beginning of the destruction of Jerusalem. God took a tithe of what was his before he let it be totally destroyed. There was an earthquake when Jesus cried it is finished, why? Because suddenly there was a great shift from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant. God was saying ”I’m abandoning that old temple that is lost the meaning and the purpose of worshiping me. They are bogged down in religious tradition and liturgy for thousands of years they have worshiped a God that they didn’t even know had left their temple. They’ve got a big ornate temple with all it’s trappings and it’s religious paraphernalia and yet they don’t even know that my spirit left it long ago.”

Why Was There An Earthquake at the Cross?
So God speaks when Jesus says “it is finished!!” The earthquake was not to put an exclamation point on what Jesus said, but it was a manifestation of what Jesus said earlier about us having the power to loose and to bind, that which we say on earth will be done in heaven and that which we proclaim in the heavens will be done on earth. Jesus said, “The transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant is finished” And as a result, God released the world from the Old Covenant law and it created a mighty shift from religion to relationship and we see the physical result through an earthquake that tore the veil from top to bottom.

Apply it To You
Keeping with Scripture as to who you are, it states that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. The temple with the veil, your mind is the veil, it stops you from entering in to the holy of holies because a man’s mind is a controlling thing. If it can’t comprehend, it won’t let you progress any further. So there needs to be an earthquake in your doctrine and philosophy and your mind really must be removed from the scenario all together. From top to bottom, from your mind to your walk. Let the veil be torn in your life. Seven thousand men were slain. That’s not a literal picture of a natural event, but a spiritual one. It’s a picture of your carnal nature coming to a completed end.

It is Finished
When Jesus says “it is finished” he’s not just speaking out of his own souls turmoil. When he uttered those words he’s fulfilling the ministry of the high priest. Because those same words were used by the high priest on the day of atonement, when he went in beyond the veil where no one could see him and he’s sprinkling blood on the mercy seat. God received the sacrifice and when he did the High priest would cry out from the holy of holies to the outer court so those that were out there waiting could here as they were eager to see if their sacrifice would be accepted by God.

Continuing to Go Against the Flow of the River
When Jesus hung on the cross, the true consummation and fulfillment of all the lambs and bulls that had been slain and suddenly as he cried out it is finished, God responded by affirming that no longer would the Old System activities be blessed. And for those that are waiting for the temple to be rebuilt and the animal sacrifices to begin again is an insult to the blood of Jesus. He has suffered once and for all and his blood paid it all.

More Earthquakes
There is a major voice that is being spoken into the earth again today, there was an earthquake when the stone was rolled away from the tomb of Jesus and he stepped out. There is a major earthquake in the churches today that’s causing many to see that their foundations have been built on the systems of men and denominationalism and liturgy and that has been void of the permanent presence of God. It’s coming because there’s a voice.

Hebrews 12 says “I have shaken the heavens. And the earth once, and I will shake it again, so that only those things that can not be shaken will remain.” Jerry Lee Lewis didn’t even know what he meant when he sang “a whole lot a shakin goin on.” Psalm 27 speaks about His voice being so powerful to the point it causes the cedars of heaven to break like splinters. I pray that what’s been said here will ring in your ears for days and days.

Trees of Lebanon
Why would he use the towering cedars of Lebanon that took hundreds and hundreds of years for them to grow to their massive size but when the word of the Lord speaks, it splits them like a splinter? Trees, in Scripture, always speak of man. No matter how many years of tradition and background, history, no matter how “mature” you’ve become in your doctrine and theology, when the voice of God speaks, it shatters your philosophy like a splinter.

Where’s the Ark Now?
Why, because all the sudden John saw the temple of God in heaven and there was no more ark. Where do you think the ark is? I wonder where the ark is? They say the Jews have it in a cave and they’re protecting it. I know where the ark of Moses is and I also know where the ark of Noah is. Some may argue they found the ark of Noah over in Turkey, maybe, maybe not it doesn’t matter because they’re measuring the outer court again. They’re making judgments by what they see. Remember the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.

Those things are just types and pictures. I’m not looking for some natural 3 x 4 box, Jeremiah 3 says that there will be a day when people will stop looking for it everywhere and they will understand that the ark of God is in you.
