1 Daniel 1:14-17 on Sun Jan 13, 2013 2:40 pm

15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.

16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

The ten days . . .a new law being tested. Keeping in mind this is pertaining to a spiritual man, a spiritual state of the man "in me". When we test the law of love, love God; love man; we find that our spiritual state will live in health and power. It becomes visible to others around us. Our personalities reflect what we're eating. People take note of that kind of thing.

When it became visibly clear that eating only things that are planted was a much more beneficial method, it was then applied to all who were to minister to the king. What's the message? For me, it's revealing the fact that if we focus more on eating from the masters table, it will have a direct effect on all things natural. The king here, represents carnality. Carnality isn't necessarily evil, it's merely things of the flesh. When left to it's own devices, it will lead to death, but if kept in check, it serves us as it was intended.

My mind is in full operation in this realm because it's in full observation in the spiritual realm. It doesn't pick and choose spiritual experiences. It doesn't dicipher what is right or wrong when engaged in spiritual matters. It doesn't exercise the same set of rules in the spirit that it does in the natural.

It observes and comprehends what it can. What it can't comprehend, it simply lays it aside and sees what matter of Truth the uncomprehendable seed matures into. Nothing gets rejected when dealing with spiritual truths. How many churches out there will support "that" one?

In the end, Daniel is given eyes that can see what can't be seen. Sound familiar?

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
